Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

What I personally find the hardest to draw is feet and hands. I found that with a lot of practice and a lot of frustrating mistakes my feet and hands actually look at the very least almost the way i want them to be.
Now my favorite Style of drawing is Anime or sometimes semi-realism, and i find that by doing studies of the more traditional style realism actually helps improve my anime pictures greatly. For instance i would practice drawing my hands and feet in different positions holding different things and from different angles. I also find it extremely helpful while i'm drawing and i'm having a particularly hard time drawing a hand or a foot in a certain position i will stop for a

I have to say that I am OVERWHELMED with the responses to this contest! Never before have I imagine it to blow up to be such a grand thing on deviantART!

I have met so many new artists and made new friends from this competition. The submissions are just brilliant and make it such a hard task to pick the best of the best!

WHAT IS A SQUARE PHOTO?

A square photo is a photo which has the same width and height, eg, 600 x 600, 525 x 525, 861 x 861. It is NOT a landscape photo (with width greater than height, eg 800 x 600) and it is NOT a portrait photo (width less than height, eg 600 x 800).

WHAT SHOULD THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THE PHOTO BE?

This is up to you and your creativity!

HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN I SUBMIT?

You can submit ONE photo of yours AND/OR submit a MAXIMUM of TWO photos from other people.

HOW DO I SUBMIT?

Send me a NOTE with "square photo" as the subject.

WHAT WILL THE JUDGEMENT BE BASED ON?

It will be based on the concept and idea behind the photo, the composition, emotions it portrays, and everything in between. Remember, square photos have a tricky composition! So it is essential!

I SUBMITTED AN ALMOST-SQUARE PHOTO... WHAT HAPPENS?

I gave an exception to a non-perfect-square photo so it is only fair I also accept other such photos. However, the dimensions should at least make it LOOK square.

HOWEVER please note that for judging, PREFERENCE IS GIVEN TO PERFECT-SQUARE PHOTOS so please from now on try to submit only perfect-squares. If it is a couple of pixels off, like 700 x 705, I will still consider it perfect square. If it like 600 x 650 then it will fall into the not-so-square category and it will be on second preference.

WHEN WILL COMPETITION END? WHEN WILL WINNERS BE ANNOUNCED? HOW WILL I BE NOTIFIED?

The competition ends JUNE 15. The winners will be announced on JULY 1. I will be updating the weekly submissions on my journal as well as a news article. The final winners will also be posted on my journal and a news article.

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?

Grand Prize: 1 year sub + feature
1st and 2nd runner ups: 6 month and 3 month sub respectively.
